Ensuring that OER materials are accessible to learners with disabilities requires adherence to universal design principles, including the provision of alternative text, captions, transcripts, and screen reader compatibility. Additionally, efforts should be made to optimize OER for low-bandwidth environments by offering downloadable, lightweight formats and ensuring mobile compatibility.
