Dubai Declaration on OER
Building on the 2019 UNESCO Recommendation on OER, the Dubai Declaration, adopted at the 3rd UNESCO World OER Congress on 20 November 2024, addresses challenges posed by generative AI, including licensing, data protection and security, while promoting AI-driven opportunities for attribution, accessibility and multilingual translation. Its implementation relies on continued stakeholder collaboration to harness AI and emerging technologies in support of knowledge sharing and accessibility within the OER ecosystem.
